When AI fails…
….Artificial Intelligence (AI) is like that quirky friend who sometimes gets things hilariously wrong.
Case in point, Google’s recent search AI blunder, identifying Obama as a Muslim.
Ps, this is definitely not the case … ( see the CNN article about Obama HERE)
Yep, we’re talking about results so off-the-mark, they could make a cat video look like a documentary.
There is an instance where AI suggested mixing glue with cheese to make it stick to pizza.
So, what went wrong?
Well, it turns out even the mighty Google’s algorithms can have a bad hair day caused by things like
when AI learns from wrong data or struggles with understanding human language nuances,
low-quality data and overfitting that can cause inappropriate responses,
and a lack of contextual understanding of the subject matter
But fear not!
While AI may have its moments of comedic brilliance, it’s still a valuable tool in our digital arsenal.
Consider the cybersecurity capabilities of Snode, (website HERE) who incorporated “explainable AI” into their technology to increase the threat detection and response capability exponentially.
Despite its occasional blunders, AI continues to revolutionize industries, from healthcare to finance.
Its ability to process vast amounts of data and uncover patterns has led to breakthroughs in disease diagnosis, financial forecasting, and more.
So, while we may chuckle at its occasional missteps, we can’t deny the invaluable contributions AI makes to our world.
